Best Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

I have seen and tried several buffalo chicken dip recipes, but in my humble opinion this is the best . I always have people asking how to make it. It is so easy and can be fixed several different ways. I think my favorite is the crock pot, just because I feel like the flavors meld together better. How do you usually make your buffalo chicken dip? This is a hit at every get together, perfect for a football game party.

Best Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

I love to make this for birthday parties, or when we have our family movie nights. Kenny usually grabs a pizza and I will serve this buffalo chicken dip with it. We have friends that always request my buffalo chicken dip when they come over.

Best Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

What You Need for This Recipe:

Chicken

This buffalo chicken dip starts with shredded chicken. You can use rotisserie chicken, or even canned chicken (I’m just not a fan of the taste)

Hot Sauce

Hot pepper sauce (such as Frank’s, which is my favorite) turns up the heat. Use more or less than the recipe calls for to suit your spicy preferences.

Cream Cheese

Make sure the cream cheese is softened to make it easy for incorporation.

Homemade Ranch Dressing

This adds creaminess and tang. You can use blue cheese dressing if you would rather.

Mozzarella Cheese

Makes this dip gooey and cheesy. Cheddar cheese can also be used.

I think what sets this recipe apart from the rest is using real chicken, Frank’s hot sauce, and homemade ranch dressing. It just doesn’t taste the same with canned chicken, other hot sauce or bottle ranch dressing.

Best Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

Author By Sarah Halstead

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breast boiled and shredded
  • 1 cup frank's hot sauce
  • 2 - 8 oz. cream cheese blocks
  • 1 cup homemade ranch dressing
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • chicken base
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. I first boil my chicken in water with a little bit of chicken base, salt and pepper.
  2. Set aside and let cool, then shred the chicken.
  3. Put the shredded chicken in a bowl and add the frank's hot sauce. Let sit for about 5 -10 minutes.
  4. Add the cream cheese, and ranch dressing to a pot or a crock pot.
  5. Next add the chicken, hot sauce mixture to your pot or crock pot.
  6. If you were cooking in a pot you can transfer to a baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese and bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes, until bubbly and cheese has melted.
  7. Or stir in the mozzarella straight to the pot and serve once melted.
  8. If you were cooking in a crock pot continue cooking on low till about 30 minutes before serving then stir in the mozzarella.

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
