This might be my favorite dipping sauce for tortilla chips. This Mexican restaurant white sauce is so delicious and easy to make. Most of the Mexican restaurants around where we live usually serve this dipping sauce along with the normal chips and salsa.
From what I hear this isn’t common practice everywhere. So, if you haven’t tried this you really need to make it. It is perfect to dip tortilla chips in, serve on a fish taco, or on a quesadilla, etc. The possibilities are endless.
If you would like the sauce to be a little thinner just add a little more milk. If you want it to be spicier add in more red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, and hot sauce. Just remember it does get spicier the longer it sits in your refrigerator.
This dip is definitely addicting, so I have to be careful not to eat too much at one time! This sauce is super easy to make and is a huge hit when I bring it to a party. Yum! What would you serve with this sauce?
Mexican Restaurant White Dipping Sauce Recipe
Mexican Restaurant White Dipping Sauce
- 30 oz jar Miracle Whip
- 1 cup sour cream
- 6 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 tablespoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoon Franks hot sauce
- juice from half a lime
- 1/2 cup milk
Add all the ingredients to a large bowl and mix well.
Transfer to a container.
Let it sit 24 hours before enjoying.
I used two pint sized mason jars, but there was a little leftover that didn't fit in them.
