Watermark Brush

Filed Under: Photography, Tutorials Tagged With: dustyn

Here is how to make a watermark brush.

First you make your design using black. Whether you just want words or a picture. If you want different shades in the brush use different opacity of black. Make sure you make it big enough. This one I made 389pxs you can always make the brush smaller when using it photoshop.

Go up to edit and define brush preset.

Next you name your brush.

Edit your photos, then pick your brush {it will be at the very bottom}. Size the brush to your liking {shortcut is {} they make the brush smaller and bigger}. I sized this to 300px and 50% opacity with a white brush.

Right now Pure Photoshop Actions has a freebie action set for resizing, sharpening and watermarking. Make sure you grab it quickly before it is gone. I used it on this photo for Sew Sweet by Kayla. For their watermark action I ran the horizontal bar. I wrote out the naptimemomtog.com in black. Then I raterized the text layer and created a clipping mask. It made it look see thru. I think I like it. What do you think? I used Pure Photoshops Hazy Baby & Sunshine Baby on it. I just won a set of actions from them. Love them!

Still on my to-do list: a gallery wall and living wall, but I'm a bit nervous since I'm not exactly good at that. One day, though... I also dream of getting a projector to display scenes on the big white wall.

I'm going to miss my Halloween decorations when they come down - time to start scouring thrift stores for Christmas decor, I suppose! 🎄

What I have left to do still: Get the top for my desk and seal it. Organize my craft stuff and put it on the shelves under my desk. Figure out my gallery wall above my desk. Order my @wallygrowplanters for my living wall. And of course buy more books and plants. 😆
