Memories, Dreams and Reflections | 2013

Filed Under: Family, Photography Tagged With: memories dreams and reflections

Hey everyone! I know it has been forever since I posted. Only one and a half weeks, but still. I will be back to posting more this year! I love doing this list with Ashley Sisk each year. Here are mine from 2012 & 2010. For some reason my 2011 post and photos are missing. I am so sad. I will have to try and find it. Anyways onto my memories, dreams and reflections.

Memories, Dreams and Reflections

Me!

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Me

We went exploring at a park and found these painted rocks in different places. This one was my favorite.

I Love You

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | I Love You

I love my husband, Kenny. I don’t know what I would do without him in my life. He supports me and is such an awesome dad to our boys.

Still Laughing…

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Still Laughing

Carsyn got this Tigger for Christmas and he cracks up laughing every time it plays this certain song. It is hilarious and it makes everyone smile. Tigger is definitely one of his favorite toys right now.

Winter Wonderland

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Winter Wonderland

This is from the little bit of snow we got last January. We usually don’t get much around here and it doesn’t come until January or February.

Friends

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Friends

Dustyn with his friend Tanner on Halloween night. We went trick or treating with them. The boys had a blast!

I Was Inspired…

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | I Was Inspired

I have seen fellow blogger that have taking photos at runs like the color run, color vibe, neon vibe and it looked like so much fun. So when I was asked if I wanted to photograph and event I said sure! It was a lot of fun. I still need to share some of my favorites.

Spring Fever

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Spring Fever

Some people think these are a nuisance, but I love to see them each Spring because it means warm days are coming.

Travel

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Travel

We didn’t take a Vacation this year, but we did do a lot of traveling here, there and every where for the boys’ appointments. We will be going to Florida on vacation in a couple weeks. I can’t wait!

Summer Days

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Summer Days

We spent a lot of our Summer Days at a local YMCA. They have a wonderful outdoor pool and splash pad.

A Day In My Life

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | A Day In My Life

My days consist of cleaning cheerios off the floor and picking up toys, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

All Smiles

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | All Smiles

Carsyn will give you a smile anytime he swings. It is definitely his favorite thing to do. We need to install a swing inside to use when it is too nasty to go outside.

Autumn Harvest

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Autumn Harvest

Fall is definitely my favorite time of year. I love all the gorgeous colors.

Home

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Home

I love that our home is on a lot of land so I have many things to photograph. One of my favorite things is to go on nature walks around our property.

Celebrate!

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Celebrate!

We celebrated Dustyn turning 5 last February. I can not believe how big he is getting. His 6 year molars are coming in now. Growing up too fast.

Let’s Do It Again…

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Let's Do It Again

Mother’s Day weekend they always have a monster truck show at the beach. We hadn’t made it in a few years, but we went in 2013. I definitely want to go again.

I Miss You

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | I Miss You

Our cat, Dakota, went missing back in June and we never found her. I really miss her. I hope that she was taken in somewhere and they are taking good care of her.

Beautiful

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Beautiful

I love the beautiful bokeh, light and simplicity of this shot.

 Dress Up

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Dress Up

This was at Super Hero Carsyn’s 3rd Birthday Party! I think this has been my favorite party to date.

Macro

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Macro

I just love all the different textures in this photo and the light. It has always been a favorite of mine.

Holidays

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Holidays

I love these shots of the boys in their Christmas shirts in front of the tree.

My Favorite

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | My Favorite

This is one of my favorite photos I have taken this year and my favorite spot to do silhouettes.

 Don’t Ever Change

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Don't Ever Change

Dustyn may drive me absolutely insane some days. He is so animated and silly. I hope he always stays that way.

Just Because…So There!

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Just Because

Just Because I love his sweet smile. He truly lights up my life.

 Hopes and Dreams

Memories, Dreams and Reflections | Hope and Dreams

Focus is my one little word this year. I am going to focus on God, my family, my health, decluttering our house and improving my photography.

Well that is it, I hope you enjoyed looking back at 2013 with me! Most are from my DSLR but a few are from my cell phone. I really had a hard time finding photos just from my DSLR. That just means in 2014 I need to pick it up more often!

I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
