Catch the Moment 365 {Week #5}

Filed Under: Family, Project 365 Tagged With: Catch The Moment

I know I said this last week, but I just can not believe the week I have been having. Dustyn and Carsyn just got medicine today for Pink Eye and Ear Infections. They both also have very red throats but thankfully not strep, and they have sniffling noses. Besides Carsyn normal allergy problems we have stayed pretty healthy. Dustyn isn’t even acting like he is sick. Only way I knew is he was waking up with green gunk in his eye. Carsyn has been fussy like usually and seems like he constantly has an ear infection. Not sure when/if they will suggest tubes for him. I am hoping we will get a referral to see an allergist specialist soon. Then maybe an ENT to see what is going on with his allergies and asthma.

Catch the Moment 365 – Week #5

week5

29. We ended up getting more snow. About 6 inches this time. I love this picture I took of our little bird house. | 30. Dustyn being silly out in the snow. I told him to look at me and this is the face I am greeted with. | 31. Carsyn was getting cabin fever. That day it ended up getting pretty warm, so I took him out for a little swing. | 32. February 1st was a very rainy day. The 6 inches of snow had melted and then on top of that we got a ton of rain. Needless to say it is a cold, wet mess around here. | 33. I took some pictures of the boys Monster Bathroom to share on my blog. I wrote about Dustyn’s new Clean Care Routine. Little boys need as much help as they can get to clean up well after going to the bathroom. | 34. I worked on my Valentine’s Day mantel for most of the day. I hope to share more photos of it soon, but here is a little sneak peek. I got this little snow globe from the dollar store. I recently shared a Valentine Gift Guide & a Free Valentines Printable. | 35. Super D and Super T-Bear to the rescue. Dustyn loves his Teddy and really enjoys pretending with him. I think it is really adorable! | 36. Ahhh! This was a rough day! If you want to read my long post about it you can, but I don’t blame you if you don’t want to. It is a really long and complaint filled post. Anyways Kenny knew I had a bad day so he ended up bringing me flowers home from work. Really brightened my day. One because I knew he was thinking about me and Two because it gave me a little slice of Spring. Can not wait for warm and sunny weather.

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.

So it was growing soooooo slow. I finally repotted it a couple weeks ago, moved it closer to a window, and started using plant food from @happyhappyhouseplant. Not sure what made the most difference but the leaf opened and now a new one is already starting. Hoping it won’t take as long this time.
