Catch the Moment 365 {Week #18}

Filed Under: Family, Project 365 Tagged With: Catch The Moment

Lately things have been better, not great, but better. It doesn’t help that everyone I know who is pregnant are finding out the gender of their babies. I am happy for them. I really am. It is just hard and it sucks. There is no nice way to put that.

Catch the Moment 365 – Week #18

week18

121. This dandelion just caught my eye. 122. Beautiful sunset. 123. Dustyn’s new favorite activity is catching frogs. 124. We had a Taco Bar set up for Cinco de Mayo a day early. It was so yummy! 125. Been loving the beautiful weather. 126. Dustyn and I having fun at the park. Love this guy so much. He is so sweet.

    I am so glad your week has been better and so proud of you for talking about it honestly. Please ignore me for as long as you want! After I had my ectopic pregnancy, I never really talked about it with anyone. I honestly let it fester for about a year. I thought because it was so physically painful and I wanted it over with at the time, I could just move on, but I couldn't. Honestly, I found myself jealous when other people would announce pregnancies and I even felt twinges of it not being fair when my first niece was born about a year later. It will get better though. Your boys are so beautiful and I love that picture of you and D!

      Thanks Stephanie. I could not imagine going through this and not saying anything to anybody. I am so thankful for all my friends that I can lean on.

    So true. It does suck. I know how many times in the past I've had to flip off social media and just take a moment to myself. It's even on my mind now this time around. I'm slowly finding excitement where I struggled early on afraid I would lose another baby. I also know the pain other moms are going through and don't want to further that. It's a weird tightrope this pregnancy as I have seen both sides of the fence. Thinking of you and sending love. Be honest to yourself and do what you need (which even means ignoring us pregnant moms when necessary - I promise, it won't offend me) to let yourself heal. It never fully leaves, but it does get better. Promise. ((HUGS))

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

Freaking freezing soccer nights. 🥶🥶🥶 It Freaking freezing soccer nights. 🥶🥶🥶

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
