Week #5 | Morning

Welcome to Project 52. One theme, one photo, once a week. Simple. I hope this project will help you grow as a photographer. I have been doing Project 365 for the past few years and it has been too much. Most of the time I just end up putting phone photos in my collage. I still will probably do a 365 on instagram, but I want to plan out time each week to take a photo for the weeks theme. I really want to get creative. Amy, Angie and I are going to co-host this link up each week. Each of us will pick a favorite from the previous link up to share each week.

Week #5 – Morning

Project52week5

My morning photo for this week is a photo of Carsyn in the morning. I lay him down on the floor when I get him up to change his clothes and his diaper. His hair is always a wild mess and the light there is glorious. By the way that green blob back there is Dustyn, that little creeper photo bomber. He he.

I did the Project 366 with you back in 2012 and then started a Project 52 the year after but I found I was still feeling a bit overwhelmed so I didn't last. I might have a think over the weekend and see if I think I can manage this after a bit of a break. :) Lovely shot of Carsyn.

Giggling at the photobomber. ;) Carsyn is so sweet - loving those blue eyes. And, surprised & honored to see you picked my photo from last week. One of my favorite so far. I have an idea for next week. Just curious to see if I can make it a reality.

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.

I made the mistake of not repotting my philodendro I made the mistake of not repotting my philodendron white wizard when I first got it, I also didn’t give it enough sunlight. So it was growing soooooo slow. I finally repotted it a couple weeks ago, moved it closer to a window, and started using plant food from @happyhappyhouseplant. Not sure what made the most difference but the leaf opened and now a new one is already starting. Hoping it won’t take as long this time.

Annelyn is loving her new hair cut and loving her hair straightened. Swipe for some adorable photos, she came up with all her own poses. Also the very last photo is her hair before, it was a hot mess. Mollie cut off 3-4 inches and it looks much healthier now.
