The lovely Branson from My Reflection of Something asked about out of focus shots. My inspiration is Katie from Katie Lloyd Photography.  I am NOT as good as her but she is inspiring. Basically what you want to is set your camera lens to manual focus. Then you want to make your subject, I use mainly my boys, out of focus but not so out of focus that you can not see it.
