Scavenger Hunt Sunday | 3.11.12

Hello friends. I hope you all are having a great weekend. I am so glad you stopped by. While you are here, if you haven’t checked out Dustyn’s Angry Bird party posts you should. I shared a lot of great birthday ideas, great etsy shops for party stuff, also there are some giveaways, and coupon codes. Also Carsyn turns 22 months today, eeekkkkk!!  I will share photos and an update soon. Guess I better start planning for his birthday party. If you want to sponsor anything for his party just email me. I think I am going to do a Pirate/Goldfish party. The ideas are already turning in my head.

Water

The Thursday after Dustyn’s Birthday, Kenny had off work. He had a dentist appointment in the morning, then we spent the whole day together. It was an awesome family day. This shot of Dustyn was taken at a park. He had been throwing sticks in the water, but then he decided to take a quick break. I was so glad I had my camera ready because I just love this photo and perspective.

Light

Don’t you just love how his eyes light up when he smiles. This was also during our family day at the park. I could seriously kiss his cheeks all day. There is also great back lighting in this photo. The shirt he is wearing is from Dustyn’s party. You can enter to win a $10 shop credit to Crazy Crafts by Rebasheba. She has a BUNCH of adorable shirts in her shop.

Chocolate

I made Oreo Pudding Poke Cake last night. It is delicious! You make your chocolate cake mix as directed and bake in a 9×13 pan like normal. Then when it is done you take two boxes of Oreo Pudding and mix it with four cups of milk. Then let it set up for about two minutes. While it is setting up poke the end of a wooden spoon into the hot cake. Next pour the pudding over the warm cake and spread it out. Place in the refrigerator for one hour. Cut up and serve with crushed Oreos on top. Yummy!

Animal

Kenny’s mom and step dad have horses behind their house. During our family day we  stopped by and saw them. Such a beautiful animal.

Crowded

Friday night we said goodbye to our dear friend from play group, Kristen. She is the second from the right. She is moving away. Soon we will be saying good bye to a few more. Bad thing about living in a coast guard town. We went to eat at a local Pizza place. It was so crowded we had to take the photo outside. It was freezing! At least this next week we will have all 70+ degree days.

Linking up with Scavenger Hunt Sunday, Simple Things, Sunday Snapshot, Macro Monday, and then she snapped

I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
