Scavenger Hunt Sunday | 08.26.12

It has been a busy week around here, but what is new? I had a newborn shoot on Thursday you can see those photos on my Facbeook Page. I have another newborn shoot today and a few more photos shoots over the next few weeks. Keeping me busy!

This week I am sharing photos from the PEN-Lite E-PL3 that Olympus provided me to try out. I will also be trying out the OM-D at the ClickinWalk that Melissa and I are hosting in Norfolk, VA. If you want to join us and get a chance to try out the Olympus OM-D make sure you sign up.

So far I am LOVING the E-PL3. It is so light and easy to carry around. I will be doing a full review soon but I have really enjoyed not lugging around my huge DSLR. Plus it takes really awesome photos on iAuto. I am still working on Manual mode but it has been nice to have it on Auto and just snap a photo. It has interchangeable lenses, I have the kit lens 14-42mm on it and the bokeh is sooo dreamy. It is not even fixed aperture.

School

On Friday we went out to Chickfila, they were doing a stuff the patrol car with school supplies. After we ate I got him his icecream cone. I can not believe that he will be starting school in less then two weeks. Eeekkk! I am ready for Fall but also feel like Summer went so quickly!

Rule of Thirds

I followed the Rule of Thirds for this photo. I actually shot this looking up. The E-PL3 camera made this so easy with the adjustable screen on the back. I love the gorgeous bokeh this produced.

Side Profile

Side profile of sweet baby boy Carsyn. I sure do have to have HoPE that everything will be okay for him.

Small

Small water drops on the spider web. I love the details this camera captures. It really does take better macro photos then my camera. They even sell macro convertors for $60.00 that will get you even closer.

 Motion

Dustyn’s car is not in motion in this photo but it has been the past few days. This is another one of Kenny’s old cars if you can’t tell. It has been through a lot but I think it gives it character.

Well that is it for this week. I feel like I was able to share better photos this week since the PEN-Lite is so easy to carry around with me. I am really in love with it. Also make sure you check out the two giveaways I have going on right now.

Linking up with Scavenger Hunt Sunday, Little Bits of Happiness, A Rural Journal, Simple Things, Sunday Snapshot, Macro Monday, and then she snapped

Still on my to-do list: a gallery wall and living wall, but I'm a bit nervous since I'm not exactly good at that. One day, though... I also dream of getting a projector to display scenes on the big white wall.

I'm going to miss my Halloween decorations when they come down - time to start scouring thrift stores for Christmas decor, I suppose! 🎄

It will be a few more months/weeks before it’s complete but I’m proud of how far it’s come.

What I have left to do still: Get the top for my desk and seal it. Organize my craft stuff and put it on the shelves under my desk. Figure out my gallery wall above my desk. Order my @wallygrowplanters for my living wall. And of course buy more books and plants. 😆

Not sure when my low bookcases and desk will be built, but it will happen eventually. Almost there. 🙌🏼
