Scavenger Hunt Sunday | 03.18.12

Filed Under: Family, Photography Tagged With: scavenger hunt sunday

Hello friends. We have been busy enjoying this nice weather. I have also been doing some spring cleaning and selling some items. I love when I can clean stuff out and make a little money back. I still have sooo much stuff to get rid of. We are selling our 55 gallon fish tank this week and my cousin is coming to paint our dining room. I will be busy prepping that today. There are some holes in the wall I need to fill and stuff that needs to be moved out of the way. I also have to go pick out paint. eeekkk! I really want to paint the living room too but I think it would just be too much right now. Both the living room and dining room are a dark burgundy. I am looking forward to having something more bright and to break the two rooms up a little bit.

Anyways here are my interpretations this week.

Vintage

I loved this shot of Dustyn. I used Pioneer Woman’s Old West action on it. It sort of looks vintagey. You can see a real vintage edit with this weeks Tutorial Tuesday. Don’t forget to link up.

Word Quote

Spring is here and the trees are awakening. Yay for green leaves.

Natures Own

I just love how dainty this is. You can find the most beautiful stuff in nature.

People

My three favorite people here on earth. These are three different silhouette shots then I shared last Monday. I know I still need to practice but I am in love with the moments I captured.

Photographer’s Choice

I am quite proud of this shot. No, it is not anywhere near perfect, but I did shoot it while the bee was flying with my 35mm lens manual focus. I really need to work on my manual focusing.

Linking up with Scavenger Hunt Sunday, Simple Things, Sunday Snapshot, Macro Monday, and then she snapped

We have plenty to get rid of, but I've been to lazy to sell it so I just gave away a bunch of baby stuff to a friend having her 4th.

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
