Roses & Raindrops {WW #37}

Filed Under: Uncategorized Tagged With: Wordless Wednesday

This weekend I spent some time at my parents while Kenny did a bunch of working. On Saturday I noted that the roses were pretty and wanted to take photos of them. I was in a rush, so I said to myself I will take them Sunday. Well the next day it was rainy and wet. I almost let that stop me, but you have to remember I am a photography addict. People driving by probably thought I was crazy out there with an umbrella and my camera. Sadly I didn’t have my Macro Lens with me, but I did get some shots with my 35mm. I do love roses and raindrops.

    Love the roses, beautiful photos. If you makes you feel any better, you are not the only one who ends up with the umbrella in the rain taking photographs. We did it over spring break when the tulip displays were so beautiful. We too thought about coming back the next day, but knew we had other plans, so out came the umbrellas. I have some unique photos from that day, its' so easy to forget that all conditions make for great photographs, not just clear skies.

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
