Princesses & Pirates

On Saturday we went to one of Dustyn’s friend, Teagan’s, 4th Birthday party. Her theme was princesses and pirates. It was so cute. The girls were dressed up as princesses and most of the boys were dressed up as pirates. Dustyn had a chest of dress up clothes from his Grammy, so he had a pirate costume. I put a thing out on our local yard sale group on facebook and the person we gave our chickens to had a costume for Carsyn. She said that was her way of giving back to us. ha ha.

This telescope is so neat. Dustyn loves it. My Photo Tip this week is to do diptych like this. I love focusing on one part and blurring the other then doing the opposite right beside it. What do you think? Do you do this?

Teagan is the princess in the middle. Love the one of Dustyn and the little girl holding hands. They were getting in a circle to play a game. Jenna throws the best parties. They even had a scavenger hunt. Dustyn had so much fun.

Yes, I also use a narrow depth of field and focus on something in the foreground and then switch. Great example of it with the telescope!

I looove these pics Sarah! What stands out to me is that they're light years beyond (my typical) b-day snapshots. They're really REALLY good! Your pirates are ADORABLE! And I love the diptych idea! I've seen it before, and always meant to do it.. but I always forget. Thanks for the reminder. LOVE it!
