More Water Droplets

I took these yesterday during the day so that I wouldn’t have to use my flash. Still not completely satisfied with my results.  What do you think? I am having a hard time getting a good focus. Anyone have any suggestions. I tried manually focusing, but it was even worse. Maybe I just need to practice my manual focus skills.

Cool looking flower.

I used my regular flash for this one. I thought it looked cool with all the reflections.

I am linking up with What I Learned & Forever n Ever n Always. I still think I will try again, but it has been fun.

I love these! I was really discouraged by manual focus at first but am finding it improves with much painful practice.

Love the last one and I do have a tip that kidna helpe me out. Before turning the water on put something in the place the drip is going to be dripping. While the 'item' is there manually adjust the focus until it's clear (point the middle focal point in your 9+/- AF points right at where the item enters the water) when you have a clear focus don't move the focus ring any more. turn on your drip and just snap, snap, snap about 10 at a time and review..it's not as frustrating that way ;) hope that helps!

I just love water images like these! As for suggestions, did you use a tripod? Is your subject bright enough for you to see it to focus? Maybe shine a flash light on the subject, focus, then turn it off to take the shot.

I totally tried and couldn't get it. I know I told you that on your last water droplet post, but I need to try again. Great shots.

Love the bubbles and the purple! I've been wanting to do this water droplet thing too but seems so hard. Oh by the way, here's a link to the reverse lens macro tutorial http://www.dpchallenge.com/tutorial.php?TUTORIAL_ID=81 I didn't use a reverse ring though, I just hand held the lens. Hope it helps!
