Just Keep Swimming…

Filed Under: Family, Photography Tagged With: swimming, Wordless Wednesday

Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim.

-Dory {Finding Nemo}

I love his face in this photo and that water drop coming from his chin.

Cool Dude.

He looks like he is saying, “Hey, whats up?!”

 These photos were from when we went swimming at my aunt house. She has such a nice pool. Dustyn had a blast. She has a little boy a few years older then Dustyn. They had fun, but he said Dustyn whines too much. I couldn’t agree more. He has been so whiny lately. I hope it is just a stage. He seemed like he was just getting to the stage where we had a lot of fun together. Now if he wants something or you don’t give him the right thing, he just cries and whines. If you all have some advice on what to do when your older child regresses to a baby. I would love to hear it. Please. What did you do?

I hope you all have a Wonderful Wednesday.

    Great shots! Looks like he's having a blast. The whining.... definitely a phase - or it was with both my kids. I just refuse to pick Presley up when she's whining or give her what she wants while she's whining. I've also been known to send my kids to their room until they can stop the whining, tantrum, etc. It wears on you. Consistency is key. Hang in there and good luck!

    What worked for us was remaining consistent..which meant listening to the whining & fits (in publuc & private) but if our children saw we gave in..they had won. So during those instances I got on eye level and parented as I normally would & gave consequences if they didn't listen..and that meant leaving fun places, etc...but they got THAT message real quick & understood no matter how they acted to get what they wanted..their behavior won them nothing but punishment. I hope that makes sense...it IS a phase..just stay strong & consistent with your parenting..he'll stop it soon!!

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
