Filed Under: Family, Photography

Live Every Moment

I am entering the photo of Dustyn below into Live Every Moments Black and White Photo challenge. I love his eyes and the way this looks in black and white. I showed the color one here.

Skywatch Friday

A couple tips when taking photos of the moon. You do not meter correctly or it will just look like a white ball. I usually meter about 5 stops lower. I just play with it until I get detail but it isn’t too dark. Definitely use a tripod and a remote so you don’t get any camera shake. My settings were ISO 100 | f/20 | 1/25sec | 300mm

and then, she {snapped}

Not the greatest macro, but I like the details.

Give me your best shot at Better in BulkPhotoStory FridayBlogging from Bolivia

Here is a re-edit of this photo.

I am going to enter that into Faith’s Color photo challenge and Foto Fridays Love photo challenge. I love my baby boy.

    I usually mess with the shutter speed and use my 55-200 lens for moon shoots and yes metering isnt as important because its so bright. The shots are great!

    I love your moon shot! I was admiring the moon the other night on my drive home and really wanted to break out my tripod to take a pic but by the time I got home, my bed was of more importance. Hopefully one of these nights soon I will finally get to play around and try to get a pic of it. And those tulips make me happy-I love the colors!

    LOVE the moon shot. I tried & tried to capture it last night- I NEED a tripod. It was amazing- I have yet to download what I took & I am hoping it will be just as amazing tonight so I can try again. Unfortunately the much needed rain that I so love- is supposed to be coming in tonight- so I may not get another chance. I really appreciate you adding tips- capturing the moon is my #1 thing I want to learn how to do. :) Oh- & I love that shot of your son- you're right- the eyes are amazing in that one!

I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
