Dustyn was born via scheduled c-section because he was going to be so big (he ended up being 10 pounds 4 ounces). When we went to schedule my c-section the doctor only had Leap day open or March 7th open. I was OVER being pregnant so I did not want to wait until March 7th. I really, really did not want a leap day baby. I remember when we found out our expected due date Kenny said we would have a leap day baby. He was right. Ha ha. I was a little upset about it at first but I really was glad he was out and healthy. Everything went well. Now I love that he was born on leap day. It just makes him extra special.
On non leap years we celebrate his birthday February 28th. I have a lot of people ask when we celebrate it. It never really crossed my mind to celebrate it in March. I figured he will always be a February baby. Many people always joke about that he is really only “1”. He will like that when he is older.
Dustyn is going to preschool at a local church three mornings a week. He really loves it.
