Carnival Photo Tips

Filed Under: Photography, Tutorials Tagged With: photography tips

Friday night we headed out to Suffolk Peanut Festival. I was able to take my camera and tripod and get some fun Carnival photos. I had been wanting to take photos like this for a long time. I thought I would share some Carnival Photo Tips in case you ever want to try to capture some fun photos.

This is pretty similar to my Fireworks tips because I used a tripod, used bulb setting with remote. I had an ISO setting of 100. Used my Sigma 17-70mm lens at f/29. The only thing I had to do to these photos is darken them because the sky was a little too bright. I like the dark sky against the lights better.

This was so cool. I held the shutter open for different lengths of time. It was cool to see the different effects you could get. I did a lot of experimenting and learned a few things. Practice is always such a great learning experience.

I love this shot! One of my favorites. Great ferris wheel shot and a good view of the other things at the carnival.

Love these three different photos and the color changes you can see.

Icecream anyone? Another one of my favorites.

Oh I want a funnel cake and a fried oreo. Should have gotten one but I was trying to be good. I love that I captured some of the people at the carnival. Would be boring without anyone there.

Another angle of the ferris wheel.

So we went to the fair last week but I didn't have my tripod. :( I tried to get pretty dark sky shots, but I was too shaky. I still got some nice ones though. Thanks for sharing these! I'm glad y'all had fun! :)

Just love these shots!! Trying to shoot at a carnival at night was on my photography bucket this this summer but it just didn't happen. We didn't get to go to the county fair here either because we were on vacation the weekend it was here. Last weekend was rainy and a bust. There is always next year. Loving these tips. Thanks!

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.

Not sure what made the most difference but the leaf opened and now a new one is already starting. Hoping it won’t take as long this time.
