Just in the two years since Prestyn arrived I have learned of some great new baby products. Binxy Baby
I really did not like going grocery shopping when my boys were little, because if they were sleeping in their carseats I didn’t want to wake them up but their carseat would take up the whole shopping cart and leave no room for anything else. Most of the time I would put it off and wait too long to go. I am excited to try the Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock. It fits most standard grocery store carts, and can support up to 50 pounds in weight. That means if your baby is sleeping in their carseat you can strap the whole thing into the hammock and still have room for your groceries. You can use it from newborn up to 6-8 months or until they sit up on their own. It is safety tested and much better then putting your carseat in the front of the cart.

Lorena Canals Rugs
We all know babies are messy, between spit up and accidents you feel like you are always cleaning. I have gone through a few rugs with my boys because spot cleaning just wasn’t cutting it so I would get rid of one and buy another one. I recently learned about Lorena Canals, all their rugs and cushions are all machine-washable and fit into a standard washer and dyer. What? That is amazing. They have a home collection for adult spaces and sophisticated kids rooms, and then a kids line, along with washable cushions, blankets, and baskets. The rugs are designed in Spain and handmade in India with all natural dyes, eco and contain no VOCs like most carpeting and rugs. The Ollie World
The Ollie World swaddle is known as the the Smarter Swaddle™, and is made from custom moisture-wicking material to reduce the risk of overheating. I know sometimes when the boys were babies I would wrap them up too much because I thought they were cold but they ended up sweating. The swaddle is one-size, but allows for a custom fit to meet the needs of each individual baby. One of my favorite features is the easy access for diaper changes through the opening at the bottom. Nothing worse then waking up a sleeping baby to change their diaper.

Owlet Smart Sock
The Owlet Smart Sock is one of the products I used with Prestyn and loved. It gave me a peace of mind and I was able to get more sleep while he was sleeping. We also used it on Carsyn when he was sick to check his O2 levels and when they were low we knew we needed to get him to the doctor or hospital for a little bit of oxygen. Owlet has made a couple updates to the sock since I used it with Prestyn so I am getting the new updated socks for Annelyn.

Milk Boss
Milk Boss is made by Itzy Ritzy, and is a infant feeding support, burping pillow and arm cushion in one. With my previous babies I used a regular nursing pillow but could never get comfortable and it seemed very cumbersome, I am excited to try the Milk Boss and see if it works better for me. I think it will be really useful to use while burping after a nursing session. The Milk Boss if very compact and will be great to use on the go and while traveling. I am packing the Milk Boss in my hospital bag, which I am will be working on over the next couple weeks.

White Noise Machine
We have had white noise machines in the past but I have been on the search for a new and updated one. I came across this white noise machine on Amazon and it has great reviews, plus it looks really sleek. There are 6 soothing sounds: white noise, equilibrium, ocean wave, rain forest, snow stream and lullaby. It also has a sleep timer so you can have it turn off after a certain amount of time.

Lollipop Baby Monitor
Lollipop Baby Monitor is a fairly new video baby monitor. If the Lollipop detects baby’s cry, an unusual noise or motion, it takes a quick video for you to review later. It will also send an alert to your phone. The Lollipop baby monitor looks really easy to install. I haven’t gotten this one yet, but it is at the top of my list for a video baby monitor.
