Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever!

Jump to Recipe

Chocolate Chip Cookies and I have had a rocky past. I can never mix them right or cook them right, but this recipe was sooo easy and delicious! I originally got the recipe from Kelly over on In Everything. When I went to fix them I realized I didn’t have the shortening, so I substituted with butter.  Here is the recipe…

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever!

Author By Sarah Halstead

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup Butter
  • 2 Tbs milk
  • 1 Tbs vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. PREHEAT your oven to 375F. Combine the brown sugar, butter, milk and vanilla in a bowl. Beat at medium speed with mixer until light and fluffy. Beat egg into creamed mixture.
  2. COMBINE the flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix into creamed mixture until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips.
  3. DROP rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. {I just got new cookie sheets, I think they made a world of difference also! No sticking and they baked evenly}
  4. BAKE at 375F for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet on a cooling rack; remove cookies to rack to cool completely.

These are so delicious.  You have to try them.

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

Freaking freezing soccer nights. 🥶🥶🥶 It Freaking freezing soccer nights. 🥶🥶🥶

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.
