Simply Bliss: Week 1

I am in my first week of Faith’s Simply Bliss Child Photography class. The first week is talking all about natural light. She also wrote a great post about that here. You can see a little bit of what she discusses in class there.

Here was the first exercise.

I love this mouse from “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”

Then you used what you learned with your immobile model above on a mobile model. Even though I used my less mobile out of my models. Ha ha! Here is my SOOC photo.

How I would do my clean edit.

and Black & White.

Here is a picture of his two teeth. The one on the right came in two months after the first one. It is also coming in really crooked. I think it will straighten out, hopefully.

While I am sharing all these photos of Carsyn- I wanted to let you know the neurologist office called today and said that everything in his chromosome testing came back completely normal. I am relieved. It is one step closer to getting answers. Thanks for all your prayers.

Love the mouse model;) And Carsyn is just too cute! Love his little teeth coming in... all 3 of my older babies got their 1st tooth about 10 months and then the others slowly followed (nice since i was nursing). But not Nate... the child cut his 7th tooth last week??? They are all so different! Glad the test came back normal. Praying for peace and more answers soon!

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Two and a half months after her first tooth she fi Two and a half months after her first tooth she finally lost her second tooth. It’s been hanging on barely. Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
