Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Filed Under: Photography Tagged With: scavenger hunt sunday

Hello friends, I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day and weekend. Ours was pretty low key. We had a date night at home and then relaxed with the boys for most of the weekend. This is my favorite type of weekend. Although next weekend will be the opposite. Dustyn is having his birthday party on Saturday. He will be 6 on the 29th, which will be celebrated on the 28th this year. Ahhh. Can not believe I have been a mom for 6 years! Anyways onto this weeks Scavenger Hunt.

So I just realized I grabbed the scavenger hunt items from the bottom of Ashley’s Blog and they aren’t current! Opps! So here are some from a long time ago I guess?? Then if you keep scrolling you will see the new ones.

Red

The red carnations and white roses Kenny got me for Valentine’s Day. They are so gorgeous!

Orange

DSC_6278 copy

Red, orange, yellow, and green goldfish. I used these as part of Dustyn’s Classroom Valentines.

Yellow

One of Dustyns’ yellow Lego blocks. Trying to document the messes they make since I know they won’t be around forever. Dustyn is in the background playing.

Green

We got a little dusting of snow this past week but it wasn’t much. I decided to take some photos on the green moss on our tree trunks.

Blue

Carsyn has the prettiest and sweetest blue eyes. I could stare at them all day. His wheelchair is ordered and should be ready in about 2 weeks. YAY!

Alright here are the correct items this week. Some of the items I just re-edited.

Camouflaged

The snow is kind of camouflaged with the moss.

Nutty

I went a little nutty  and hid Kenny’s 31 Gifts around the house so he had to do a scavenger hunt of his own.

Old Style

Edited the photos of my flowers to look more old style.

Haphazard

haphazard

Dustyn’s room is pretty haphazard most of the time.

Monochromatic

Carsyn edited with a blue monochromatic preset from BP4U Black & White Lightroom presets.

Great set of photos. I love the camouflaged snow on the mossy tree. Cute shots of the boys. I wish my house was only as haphazard as Dustin's room!

Way to go with doubling up on those prompts. The flowers are very pretty both ways. Carnations are one of my favorite flowers. Carsyn does have lovely expressive eyes and Dustyn has such a sweet smile. I like the moss on the tree too.

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
