Scavenger Hunt Sunday {09.11.11}

Today is Carsyn’s 16 month Birthday. Hopefully I will be able to take his pictures sometime today. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. We had a lot of fun at the mud races last night.

Bokeh

I will have a tutorial on my work-flow in Lightroom and CS5 of a similar photo this week.


Process of Elimination

I took this one quite literally. He was eliminated from the competition because he broke. “Hooked” was definitely hooked by the tractor. {you can hover over to see the before, not cropped.


Remember

Today is  a day to remember what happened on September 11th 10 years ago, and pray for all the families that lost loved ones.

Statue

Praying mantis act very statue like when you are taking their photos. They blend in so well. I had a lot of fun taking his photo.

Flying High

My cousin flying high in his Mud Truck. I will be sharing more mud racing photos soon.

    Lovely shots! I think my favorite is the praying mantis. We have so many of those here in Japan I absolutely love it as they were a rare sight when I was back in the states. Quite a nice catch indeed :) Have a great week! :)

    A great set of pictures. I had no idea the Preying Mantis was such a great photography subject. I loved the very first photo. It was absolutely gorgeous!

    Oh the mantis is a very cool statue picture. Those guys are creepy cool for sure!!! Your flying high image really got me smiling! What a great capture!

    Your first shot is beautiful - shall go and have a look at your tutorial when I get a chance. But that photo of the praying mantis - absolutely superb. I just kept looking at it. I've seen your project a day site and share - would love to join in but I'm unsure on how to present it as I add words to my photos so I'm unsure a collage would come out clearly enough. Now I'm just rambling....basically wanted to say how much I've been enjoying your site since I've come upon it - I know there'd be a great amount of effort from your part going into it, so thanks for that.

      Thanks I will probably have it posted this afternoon or tomorrow. You can link up. You do not have to do a collage. Some people do the photos in one post and some do them in separate posts. I am not picky at all. :)

    Lots of action in your Flying High shot! And I love the way you interpreted Process of Elimination. But I have to say the praying mantis is my favorite.
