Scavenger Hunt Sunday {09.02.12}

Filed Under: Family, Photography Tagged With: scavenger hunt sunday

Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone! Hope you are having a good weekend. This is the last weekend before Dustyn starts school on Tuesday! Eeekkk! I am so nervous. He will be going to the public school preschool. After the first couple of weeks he will be riding the bus on the way home. I am happy that he will be going but also a little scared. Pray for my nerves please. I did want to let you all know that I have started noticing a few differences in Carsyn’s hamstrings. They say about day 10 we will see the best change. We will just have to keep stretching to keep it relaxed. Thanks for all your well wishes last week.

Candid

I love this Candid moment I caught of Carsyn and his Poppy a few weeks ago. So sweet.

Toys

One of Carsyn’s favorite toys. He is obsessed with anything cow. He can see any cow a mile away and he starts mooing. It is so adorable!

Any of the Five Senses

Dustyn using his sight sense trying to look through the binoculars to check out the giraffes.

Batteries

 Dustyn’s well used and well loved flashlight running off of batteries.

Half

Half Coffee/Half Creamer that is the way I like my Iced Coffee.

That is all I have for you today. Hope you have a fun filled Labor Day weekend!

Linking up with Scavenger Hunt Sunday, Little Bits of Happiness, A Rural Journal, Simple Things, Sunday Snapshot, Macro Monday, and then she snapped

    Your "toy" shot brought back a memory of my oldest son (now 15). When he was a toddler, he LOVED cows, too--most animals, actually, but cows in particular since he had one of those Little Tykes (maybe?) rocking cows. He liked to pretend the rocking cow was chasing him for some reason--he'd set it up in the hallway and then "startle" himself with it and scream "Cow coming!" One day when we were visiting my grandmother, he shouted, "Cow coming!" as he came tearing across her backyard. It tickled me because my grandmother TURNED TO LOOK. [She lived *inside* the perimeter of Atlanta!] I guess his shout was urgent enough for her to be convinced. ;) So glad you are already seeing some signs of improvement with Carsyn's hamstrings! Praise God! http://cheekycocoabean.blogspot.com/2012/09/scavenger-hunt-sunday.html

    Gorgeous set of shots this week! Don't worry--school will be great for you and Dustyn. After a week or so of riding the bus, you will both be old pros. :) He'll probably have a great time, and you'll enjoy the one on one time with Carsyn. I've learned to enjoy those sweet elementary school years with my youngest, because my oldest is in high school now (and one is in middle school), and that is really when the nerves set in! Haha! I'll be thinking of you though. The first day of school always tugs at a moms heartstrings.

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
