Reese's Peanut Butter Pie
For Kenny’s 31st Birthday I made him a Reese’s Peanut Butter Pie because he loves Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. He also is not a huge fan of cake so I knew there was not point in me even making him a cake. My friend Kimberly sent me her Peanut Butter Pie recipe, but I wanted to make it more chocolaty (probably not a word). That way is would taste more like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Let me just tell you it is amazing! Kenny had to keep himself from eating the whole pie because he knew it would make him go into a sugar coma and probably end up sick!

Ingredients

    Crust:
  • 24 Oreo Cookies
  • 1/3 Cup Butter
  • Filling:
  • 1 8oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 tub cool whip
  • 24 Mini Reese's Cups

Instructions

    Crust:
  1. Crush the Oreos. You can do them more fine to get a smoother crust. I left them a little chunky because I like the crust to be thicker.
  2. Melt the butter then slowly add it in with the Oreos. I did a little at the time and stirred around until I got the consistency I wanted.
  3. Put the Oreo Mixture into a pie pan. I only pressed it on the bottom of the pan, not the sides. Again because I like a thick crust.
  4. Then I put the crust in the fridge while I made the filling. Just so the crust would cool down and harden a little.
  5. Filling:
  6. Cream together the cream cheese and peanut butter.
  7. Add in the sugar and thawed cool whip.
  8. Stir in 20 of the Reese's Cups.
  9. Pour into the crust and top with remaining Reese's Cups cut in half.
  10. Chill overnight.

I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
