Our dogs, Dixie and Dudley, have been participating in the Purina One 28 Day Challenge. We bought two bags of the Purina One Large Breed Dog Food from Walmart to complete the challenge. Kenny and I adopted Dixie right after we got engaged to be married 10 years ago! Then less then a year later we adopted Dudley. They have the same mom and dad just from two different litters. So technically they are brother and sister. They don’t look a lot alike though do they?
Their mom was a lab/retriever mix, she has long black hair. Their dad is a rottweiler. Dixie seems to be a good mix of both of them because of her long, brown and black coat. Dudley looks like a pure breed black lab though.
Purina One 28 Day Challenge Results

Dixie:
Her main issues are skin and ear problems. She seems to have some allergies that cause her fur to fall off of her back during Spring/Summer. She normally is gnawing at her back and her paws. She usually gets a lot of yeast ear infections. So far since starting the Purina One Dog Food her hair has stayed intact. She also has not been scratching at her ears or yelping when we touch them. Which are usually signs of an ear infection for her.

Dudley:
His main issue is just getting up. You see he is a BIG dog, weighing in over 100 pounds. Winter months are when you see him have this problem. Therefore, I am not sure how the food has effected him. I do have to say he is a picky eater and he loves the Purina One dog food.
In the past 28 days we have seen big improvements in our dogs. Their coat is shinier, and eyes are brighter. Since they are 10 & 9 years old they aren’t as spry as they used to be. Dixie and Dudley both seem to have increased their energy. They both really enjoy the food. I love that real chicken is the first ingredient.
