Preparing For The New Year

I can’t believe that 2018 is almost here! Our little girl will be here in April and I can not wait. I feel like once we get into 2018 it will feel closer to meeting her. Check out my list below on how I am preparing for the New Year. Preparing For The New Year

Make a Time Capsule with your family to open next New Year’s Eve. This is a great way to see how much your kids have grown and changed over the year.

Pick One Word to focus on each day. My word this year is simplify. I want to simplify my life and possessions and focus on what is important in my life. When we redid the living room a few weeks ago, and cleared everything out it felt so refreshing. We plan to go through each of our rooms this year and declutter plus do small renovations. My word last year was focus, and I can say I definitely did most of it. I did the project 365 and took more photos of my boys. I did lose about 35lbs before I got pregnant. I have only gained about 8lbs so far and hope that after our baby is born I can get back to losing. I also feel like I spent more time with the boys, but can always use more improvements in this area.

Print a Daily Habit Tracker to help keep your new year resolutions. One of my big ones is to drink more water. I feel like I never drink enough water. My goal is to also take a few hours in the evening to not be on any technology and spend more time with the kids. Sometimes I use blogging as an excuse to always be on my phone or computer, but I realize I need to cut back on this.

Start the new year fresh by doing the 30 Day Declutter Challenge in January. I did this last year and it felt soooo good. It definitely needs to be done again. We need to make room for our daughter in a house that is already crammed full!

How are you preparing for the New Year?
