We took Carsyn to the ER last night at midnight. He was having episodes where he would hold his breath for a few seconds and make an awful faces. He did that about 20 times between 10:30pm and 2 am. Doctor said it is normal infant behavior. I am glad it was nothing serious, but I want answers. It didn’t seem normal to me. If it is normal why did he just start it after 7 months. Please pray for my baby boy. Hoping we saw the last of that. Since we got home at 2am he has been sleeping and just woke up. So far so good he hasn’t had anymore. I am exhausted though.
Oh my gosh Sarah! I'm praying that you never, ever have to go through that again! I'm so glad that he's been good since!

That sounds really scary! I am glad the Dr. said it was normal, even thought it doesn't seem normal to me, but hopefully you'll either never experience that again, or will find out what is going on.

Very scary!! My hubby's cousin held his breath - it was a temper thing. Hopefully Carsyn never does it again!

Poor little guy but I've actually heard of this before. Not that it makes it any less easy (especially since I'm not a parent myself) but in my child development classes, I heard of this happening and he should grow out of it. Either way, I'll say a sweet prayer for him.

That would freak me out if Hunter did that! He sometimes makes this awful gasping sound and it sounded like he was having trouble breathing. I figured out it was usually something hurting him (like his diaper rash and he had just peed, or when I was wiping him on his diaper rash). Hoping those episodes are over for you guys!

I've never heard of that. glad he's ok. As long as his coloring doesn't change, he is probably good to go. Infants can be goofy creatures!!!
