Orangesicle Smoothie Recipe

Most Americans have very stressful and rushed mornings. Things are no different in our house. I am usually dragged out of bed by Kenny, because I stayed up too late the night before working on blog posts. Next I have to get grumpy Dustyn out of bed. Make sure he eats some type of breakfast, which usually consist of poptarts. Then get him dressed in semi-clean clothes. As long as the clothes don’t stink and have obvious stains they work for me.

Therefore, eating breakfast is not really a top priority of mine. I know I need breakfast to fuel my body, but I am just not a breakfast person. When I first wake up I can not eat a huge meal.  One thing I can enjoy in the morning are Smoothies. I am going to share my Orangesicle Smoothie Recipe. It is one of my new favorites and just perfect for Spring/Summer time.

This recipe is really easy to make and very delicious. With the insanely hot temperatures we have been having a smoothie is a sure fire way to cool your body down. If you are searching for some new smoothie recipes check out the Carnation Breakfast Essentials Recipe Section. I buy my Carnation Breakfast Essentials at Walmart because they have the best price. Dustyn, our six year old, has a lot of issues with food textures. Most of the things that we can not get him to eat or even try are fruits and vegetables. I whipped up this smoothie for him to try and he actually liked it. I was really shocked because he doesn’t like cold food either. He usually has me eat the ice cream off the ice cream cone he gets at Chick-fil-a.

I do have to say that I love the taste of the French Vanilla Powder. Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder has a great taste that comes in many flavors, such as Rich Milk Chocolate, Classic French Vanilla, Classic Chocolate Malt, Dark Chocolate, Strawberry Sensation, and the Variety Pack.

As a side note my son Carsyn, with Cerebral Palsy, had a hard time gaining weight a couple years back. The doctors were talking about doing a feeding tube if he didn’t start gaining weight. He couldn’t do much eating but loved milk. We tried out some other products and Carsyn was not a fan. Then we tried the Classic French Vanilla Carnation Breakfast Essentials added to his whole milk and he LOVED it! He started gaining weight and nothing was ever said about the feeding tube again. We were very grateful.

I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
