My New Tablet – Nexus 7

Filed Under: Family Tagged With: sponsored

Say hello to my new best friend! I have been wanting a tablet forever. Seems like everyone in my family had a tablet but me. I didn’t mind since I had my iPhone, but I really wanted something I could use for my business too. I decided on the Nexus 7 from Staples because I have heard the android operating system is really an awesome system. Kenny has it on his phone and his tablet and has had really good luck with it.

It came with a couple free magazines, a guidebook for the Nexus 7, which is very convenient to have.

One of the things I LOVE about the Nexus 7 is that all of the settings including brightness, wi-fi, etc are right at your fingertips. All you have to do is swipe down at the top right. Makes it really easy. I do have to say it has taken me awhile to get used to android instead of apple but I have come to love it. All your notifications show up right there at the top too. All you have to do is swipe down on the top left to see them.

I love that you can add your favorite and most used apps on the home screen but the rest of your apps can come up in just one touch on the circle with the 6 boxes in it. Plus the internet, Google Play Store, Movies, Music, etc is right down bottom. I really love the way that it fits in my hand. Easy enough to hold in one hand. I was leaning towards the 10 inch but I am glad I got the 7 inch. It is definitely big enough.

One of the main things that I wanted to be able to use the tablet for was to show clients their photos. This is so easy on the Nexus 7. All I do in Picasa (which I use anyways) find the album I want, click share then enable sync. This syncs with my Google+ account (shared with only me) and it pulls up right in the albums on my tablet. You can also set it to be able to be viewed offline. So just in case you don’t have wi-fi you can always access them! This is so awesome and worth it to me!

So far I am really loving it! I am so glad to finally have a Tablet and I think it will be a big asset to my business.

Also if you do have a Nexus 7 or going to buy one check out my awesome new cover!

Full disclosure, Staples provided me with this Nexus 7 Tablet. The words and opinions expressed in this review are strictly my own. To see their full line of tablets visit Staples.com.

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

Freaking freezing soccer nights. 🥶🥶🥶 It Freaking freezing soccer nights. 🥶🥶🥶

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
