I wanted to do something really special for my mom this year. She has been taking care of her own mom for years, after taking care of my sister and I growing up. She is always willing to help with my sisters’ two girls or with my two boys. She has even been know to take on all four at once with my dad’s help. She was there for all four of her grandchildren’s births and I am sure she will be here when our next baby is born.
Here is a photo from Mother’s Day 2011. I think it is time for an updated photo of her with her daughters and grandchildren. My mom is amazing and always there for me. I am so thankful to have her in my life! To make this the best Mother’s Day ever, and to show a portion of my gratitude, I decided to make her this gift basket.

My mom loves the colors pink and blue so this card stuck out to me as I was glancing through the cards. I started reading it and began to tear up, therefore I knew it was the one. Next I started gathering other pink and blue items that I knew my mom would love. She really enjoys going to the beach during the Summer, so I grabbed a towel and tumbler. I colored the little heart on the LOVE letters to go with the theme, and I just knew she would enjoy the notebook and note pads.
Most of these items were located in the One-Stop Shop at Walmart near the greeting card aisle. I love that they set up greeting cards and gifts that any mom would love. So all you guys out there stuck on what to get the mom in your life… check out this section. American Greetings made it super easy and even let you know the date!
