Happy It Wasn't The Walls

This is what Dustyn was doing last week while I thought he was napping. I had cleaned out the extra closet in his room and put the markers on his dresser. My plan was to take them to the kitchen and put them with his crayons. Well I forgot and I guess they were too tempting for him. He colored on his hands, legs, face and a piece of paper. I am just so glad he didn’t color on the walls, dressers or train table!

Why do they feel the need to color their bodies? WHY? I hardly ever bring out the markers here because every time it ends up on clothes, walls, eyeballs, etc...

We do not keep markers in our house for this very reason. Once my middle son, then two, found some paint and covered his face black and blue. I had to take him to the busstop looking like I'd just beaten him to meet my Kindergartner. I wasn't able to get pictures which I now regret. Your pictures are great!

My sisters kid (who is almost 3) got into an ink pad that she had tucked away somewhere and put red handprints allllll up and down the hallway.. And funny enough, right now I am sitting with Seraphina in my lap and I thought I would occupy her with a marker and a piece of paper..that did not last very long..now we are both covered in (washable!!) blue marker-what was I thinking?! Great edit, by the way!

Wow, and looks like he used a wide variety of colors! I've had writing on the wall (sharpie on wallpaper, ink pen on paint). Mr. Clean magic eraser works wonders if that ever happens! Cute capture, btw!

Too funny! {I like that you show the SOOC, too.} I've gotten some recent pictures around our house that look similar... :) Our girls colored on my kitchen wall with crayons once. I actually haven't cleaned it off. I kinda like it! Oh, but I won't tell them that until they're much much older! ;)

Still on my to-do list: a gallery wall and living wall, but I'm a bit nervous since I'm not exactly good at that. One day, though... I also dream of getting a projector to display scenes on the big white wall.

I'm going to miss my Halloween decorations when they come down - time to start scouring thrift stores for Christmas decor, I suppose! 🎄
