Friday Fun

macrofriday2
I am entering the above photo into Give me your best shot. We have had rain all week long. I am so thankful for the rain, but my yard has a lot of  “ponds”. Dustyn has been having a blast. I will probably post pictures of that tomorrow.

Found that little spider while walking around outside yesterday. I love how fuzzy he is, but he was freaking me out while I took his picture.

In other news Carsyn is getting a little better at sitting up by himself. He did it for 5 seconds straight today. I am so excited to be able to take his pictures sitting up soon.

{not the best quality, but it is cute}

It has been raining and very, very cloudy. Which means no natural light, which means using my on camera flash. I want to buy a Speedlight for my Nikon. I think I am going to get the SB-600. It is in the middle class. I will need it this winter for inside pictures. Any suggestions are appreciated.

While we are talking about wish list, here is what else I want:
tripod & remote
seamless paper and Plexiglas for studio pictures
props
70-300mm lens with macro {would love a full macro, but can’t afford that right now}
of course an upgrade maybe a Nikon D3. Ha ha!! Okay, okay I would be happy with the D90.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. It is suppose to quit raining today and tomorrow, but then start back up on Sunday.

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

Freaking freezing soccer nights. 🥶🥶🥶 It Freaking freezing soccer nights. 🥶🥶🥶

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
