Egg Roll In A Bowl Made Easy With Pop & Cook

We love making egg roll in a bowl at least once a week or every other week, but cutting up the onions and mincing the garlic was getting a little time consuming. Pop & Cook made one of our favorite weeknight meals even easier.

Pop & Cook offers: sautéed glazed onions (yay for no more tears) crushed garlic, crushed ginger, chopped basil and chopped cilantro. Pop & Cook provides the perfect amount of herbs, with no prep or cleanup! Helps you to get a delicious meal to your table quick. Perfect for those busy weeknights. With a shelf life of 2 years, you can have fresh onion, garlic, and herbs year round. I always hate buying fresh herbs then go to use them and find out they went bad therefore it ends up being a huge waste of money.

Here is what the sautéed glazed onions look like from the back.

Pop & Cook is found in the frozen section of Walmart close to the frozen vegetables.

Egg Roll In A Bowl

Delicious low carb recipe made easy with Pop & Cook herbs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork or beef
  • 1 package coleslaw mix
  • 3 cubes pop & cook sautéed onion
  • 3 cubes pop & cook garlic
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • cooked brown rice
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown ground pork in large frying pan until fully cooked.

  2. Turn heat to medium-high and add sautéed onion, garlic, ground ginger and sesame oil. Cook for a couple minutes.

  3. Add the soy sauce and coleslaw mix. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for a few minutes stirring often until cabbage starts to wilt.

  4. Serve over cooked brown rice.

For the crushed garlic make sure you do not peel off the plastic backing.

You can pop it right out of the package into your pan, most of all it is super easy.

Here is what the frozen onions and garlic look like in the pan.

Here you can see the onions are all cooked. It only took a few minutes to unfreeze and cook.

The last step is adding the bag of coleslaw mix and season with salt and pepper.

Pop & Cook made the prep work for this meal sooo much easier. I used ground ginger but next time I go to the store I will be looking for the crushed ginger. I think that would be so delicious.

This is such a great concept! I hate the way my hands smell like Garlic for days if I mince it myself and I'm not a fan of jarred garlic, so this is perfect!

6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adans 6 weeks ago I cut off the top of my Monstera Adansonii because it was very tall but not bushy. It was nerve wracking at first. I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.
