Dear Carsyn,
I just want to let you know that I love you so much and I can not imagine my life without you. You are such a blessing to me! I can not believe it has been two years since you entered into my life. You are a true joy to me and make me laugh every day.
You have really started showing your personality and what you want. You really love to play in the sand and cry any time we take you out. You really love your iPad, swimming and swinging and you do the same crying if we take you away from those things too. Pretty normal behavior for a two year old, which I love!! Riding elevators is so hilarious to you for some reason. You laugh at your big brother ALL the time and he loves to make you laugh.
You also really love to eat. You will eat anything that gets in your mouth that you can chew up. Your favorites right now is applesauce, green beans, mashed potatoes, baked beans, etc. I love that you will eat most anything and that you are not picky. One thing that you do not like is really cold stuff.
You weigh about 22 1/2 pounds now, starting to chunk up finally! I have been trying to get as much calories in you as possible to get you to gain some weight. You have been on baclofen for about a month. I have seen some good changes in how tight your muscles were. It has made your core muscles a little weaker, but we have been working on getting those stronger. I really enjoy seeing your hands open more and your muscles moving a little more freely.
We are still working on getting you a gait trainer so maybe you can start being a little more independent. You have no interest in crawling but you like being in the standing position and if I hold you under your arms you will take steps. I am hoping that when we get you the gait trainer it will help you start to walk.
