Carsyn 7 Months

Filed Under: Christmas, Family Tagged With: carsyn, milestone

Carsyn is 7 months old today. It was a crazy day so I didn’t get his 7 month pictures done yet, but I will on Monday. He is still pretty immobile. Which is a good thing and exactly like his brother. Dustyn never crawled. He went straight to walking around 10 months. So I am enjoying this immobile time.

He still has this cold/cough which has lasted over 3 months. It will seem like it is getting better then come back full force. The doctor said it probably won’t go away until after cold/flu season. It really has put a damper on his sleep and he play time while awake. He has been waking up 2-4 times a night, but just in this past week it has only been once a night. Last night he slept 7:30-6:30 then fell back asleep until 8:15. I feel so much better. YAY for sleep! Praying it continues.

He really is such a happy baby as long as he is being held. As soon as you put him down totally different story. He smiles and talks to every one. He still won’t take a bottle so I guess we will go straight to a sippy cup when he is ready. He also isn’t eating much solids. I have given him little taste of our foods, but I really want to do baby led weaning. I am going to skip the whole baby food stage

We did take the boys to see Santa today {as you can tell by the pictures}. Then we “built” a gingerbread house when we got home. I will have to tell you that story at a later date

Thanks for joining, how great that no one cried with Santa, makes for a great picture! I did baby-led weaning too and pretty much skipped the baby food with Sawyer. It was a great experience although now, at 18 months he is a stinker when it comes to drinking anything. Beautiful pictures as always!

oh poor Carsyn (and poor momma!) Graham has had an upper respiratory infection the last few weeks and it is heartbreaking :( I hope Carsyn can shake the cough soon, and hooray for good sleep!

OHMIGOODNESS! I just fell over from cuteness! We haven't done Santa pictures... I'm not sure if we will. It was too cold last night when we had scheduled it. :(

I love the Santa suit on Carsyn :] Our pediatrician told us to give Hunter some pedialite (however you spell it) to help break up the snot, have him sleep on an incline, and use a humidifier while he slept for his cold. Hope he starts to feel better soon! Poor little guy!

Awww, Happy 7 MonthDay, little one!!

    Love the Santa pictures!!

Just wanted to throw this out there - we dealt with endless coughing and an unconcerned ped for close to four months and then a few weeks ago, they decided to take another x-ray and decided our little man had pneumonia. His x-ray back in August had been clear. Keep following up with it and don't let them brush you off if you're concerned!

Welcome

I had 5 total cuttings that I put into water. 4 of the pieces had roots longer than 2 inches with some secondary roots. The last piece is still in water, it has some roots but not enough, so giving it a bit more time. Where I cut it is also making a new stem and I noticed further down it was trying to branch out in other places. Hopefully it takes off this Summer and becomes fuller looking.

It was soooo cold out there tonight even with the sun. The wind was whipping. It may have been in the 40s but the wind chill was in the low 30s. I think my face is wind burned. Annie did a great job playing tonight and was trying so hard to make a goal. The other team was short on players, so one of her teammates was goalie and did an awesome job stopping the ball. Annie tried a new strategy of holding the ball in between her feet until the other team gives up. 🤣 There is one clip of Prestyn (# 13). His games are harder to take video of cause his field is so big.

Today while eating lunch I told her it was close to coming out and we would need to pull it before bed. While eating chicken teriyaki she thought she swallowed it and spit out the chicken in her mouth. I dug through it and it wasn’t there. She started freaking out. Then looked on the chair and it was sitting right there. 🤣 A similar thing happened with Prestyn on one of his bottom teeth. My kids never want to pull them out until they fall out on their own. Ha.

So it was growing soooooo slow. I finally repotted it a couple weeks ago, moved it closer to a window, and started using plant food from @happyhappyhouseplant. Not sure what made the most difference but the leaf opened and now a new one is already starting. Hoping it won’t take as long this time.
