Photo Tip Tuesday- Inspiration

I said I was going to write more, in that includes tips and tutorials. I can not wait to share what I know. By no means am I a professional, but I have a lot of people ask me questions. If you have a question about something I do or something you want me to write a tutorial on let me know.

This past weekend I had a photo shoot with my friend Susan, she is the one that took our family photos a couple weeks ago.  I had so much fun taking their photos.

My photo tip this week if you are looking for new inspiration is to check out Pinterest. I know most of you know about it. I have the app on my phone. Before a shoot I will pin a bunch of ideas. Then show them to the client and see if they like any of them. That way the client can understand and see what you are talking about. I can not believe how much use my iPhone gets.

You just need to make sure that you make the photo your own. You don’t want to copy photos exactly.

    Your photos are gorgeous! I was thinking this morning that I wished I had someone to take awesome pics of me while I was pregnant. Of course, I wasn't as into photography back then as I am now. Oh, and I love Pinterest. Just one more reason why I need an iPhone. :)

    These are so great! I love Pinterest too! So many great things to learn. I copy a board into evernote and clip that into my ipad. I take the ipad with me to a photoshoot to jog my memory of ideas I like. I never end up doing the exact thing, but it helps me remember an elements of photos i admire.

    That guitar photo is perfect. SO perfect. DH played guitar for DD all the time and it really captures a moment. That's the money shot, for sure.

    these are really beautiful photos Sarah! What a great portrait session! I LOVE pinterest and pin ideas like crazy but I have yet had a chance to actually use all my ideas. Ooh, I'm gonna find you on pinterest so I can follow you! :)

    Your pics are gorgeous. I am so afraid to start using pinterest. I already spend enough time connected to my computer. I do not have an iphone...but I am really starting to see the need.

    You did a fabulous job, Sarah! These are gorgeous! Great tip too. I hadn't thought about using it like that. I don't usually do too many shoots, but friends and family do start calling during the holidays wanting a family pic for their Christmas cards.
