Happy Halloween everyone! It is also the last part of 30 fun ideas for fall! Today I am sharing a simple tutorial for a sugar skull etched glass. This is a votive holder but I thought it looked cute with candy corn in it also.
Sugar Skull Etched Glass Tutorial
Supplies:
- Glass Votive Holder
- Etching Cream
- Brush
- Sugar Skull Stencil
- Gloves
- Water
Wash and dry your glass votive holder. Cut out your stencil onto vinyl using a silhouette cutting machine. Weed out the not wanted vinyl and use masking tape. Put on the glass and cut around the skull, making sure to leave an edge.
Stir the etching cream and brush the etching cream all over the skull being careful not to go off the edge of the vinyl. You will want to brush in all directions making sure it is all covered. You want it to be on there thick.
Leave it on for 4-6 minutes. Then rinse with water. Clean with glass cleaner and allow to dry completely.
