My Story is God’s Story

Filed Under: Uncategorized Tagged With: faith

I went to Community Group tonight. I almost stayed home with Kenny and the boys. (We didn’t want to take Carsyn, just to make sure he was better.) I am glad that I did not stay home. We are having a conversation about the Bible and how the whole Bible is God’s Story. It isn’t about the people in the Bible. Everything in there happened because God wanted to tell His story. To spread the word about Him.

My Story is God's StoryThe leaders Tony and Dani said that the same is true about the World today. People do not understand why things have happened to them.  One of the questions I have had since learning of Carsyn’s diagnosis is why is this happening to me. I went into this a little more awhile back. I have finally accepted this life is my reality. I have always thought of this as My Story and how I can impact people. That I can handle it all. The discussion tonight helped me to realize that it is actually God’s Story. He has planned everything out. He knows exactly why, and who He will touch through me.

My Story is God's StoryMy Story is God’s Story.

My story is unfinished. God’s story is unfinished. God is not done with me yet. I may not understand how everything is connected right now, but it is nice to know that truly I am not alone. God has a plan for how He will use me and what I have gone through to reach out to someone. I always knew that God has a plan for my life, but I never really thought about it as His story.

What do you think?

Have you ever thought about your life and your story actually being God’s story?

As a side note, Carsyn will hopefully be getting his wheelchair on Friday. I can not wait!

Verses are from The Message.

I love this, and NO, I never looked at it that way. I am going to share this if you dont mind cause most all my friends are christians and this is something to really think about. The Old testament points to Jesus. ALL of it. Every story. The story of our lives should point to JESUS. AWESOME! New revelation to me! I think you wrote this for me! The past year I have been wondering almost daily about how terrible my life has been since the day I was born! I thank God daily for taking me thru things! Now I see that my life story points to Jesus as our loving caretaker. Couldnt do it without him! MWAUH! TY TY TY

First of all, I really love your pictures with the scripture references. And to answer your question: "Have you ever thought about your life and your story actually being God's story?" ~ I read this scripture years back, and it sounds as though you and I might have had a similar, if not the same, epiphany. All at once I was constantly aware of God's interacting with my daily comings and goings, beyond the invitation and exercise that I had previously been living by. It changed my life. Thank you for posting, because I believe I need to get back to letting the Lord write even more of my story ~ not just living and expecting the many not-so-good circumstances that have been going on in/with me and all around me. Beautiful post, like a sign post! Thank you! :)
